University of Leeds, UK
I am group leader in the University of Leeds. Our laboratory studies innate immune-mediated (auto)inflammation, using translational research to address critical medical needs, largely underpinned by a systems-based classification of immune-mediated diseases.
My medical qualifications are from the National University of Ireland, including an MRCP (Ireland). I was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford University, USA (1986-1989), at Inserm, France (1990-1992), a Visiting Scientist at the NIH (NIAMS) (1992-1994) and Reader at University of London (1995-2004). I obtained a Doctorate of Medicine in 2005. My current position is in the Leeds Institute of Medical Research (LIMR) (2004 to the present).
